Hiring: Research & Development Engineer 1 – AI / Machine Learning

Contract Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of Extension)

We're looking for an enthusiastic and technically strong Research & Development Engineer 1 with a software engineering background and hands-on exposure to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an AI-focused engineering project, work with open-source AI models, and explore modern AI application development technologies.

What you'll be working on:

• Developing and supporting AI/ML-based applications.
• Exploring and working with open-source AI models.
• Supporting model fine-tuning and reinforcement learning initiatives.
• Working with Agentic AI and machine learning technologies.
• Exploring AI inference and model-serving frameworks.
• Collaborating with engineering and research teams to develop and evaluate solutions.
• Performing technical research, experimentation, and prototyping.
• Documenting findings and contributing to engineering improvements.

Required technical skills:

• Strong programming/scripting knowledge in Python or Java.
• Background in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
• Hands-on exposure to AI Application Development.
• Understanding of Machine Learning and Generative AI.
• Familiarity with open-source AI models and LLMs.
• Exposure to fine-tuning and reinforcement learning.
• Familiarity with PyTorch, vLLM, SGLang, or similar AI frameworks.
• Knowledge of AI inference and Agentic AI is highly desirable.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; OR
• Master's degree with relevant AI/ML experience.
