Job summary

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience building and testing information systems.
Experience in a research environment.
Experience with Python, C, and Java.
Skilled in technical writing, research methodology development, creative problem solving.
Knowledge of markdown, retrieval models, language models, natural language processing, database administration practices a plus.

Responsibilities

Investigate emerging AI-ready publication methods at other research institutions.
Investigate technologies, best practices, supporting processes, and KPIs to transform NIST publication process for AI agents.
Design options for a publication system/workflow optimized for external AI agents.
Identify options for public-facing tools to support external practitioners using NIST publications.
Design a pilot study to assess feasibility of AI-ready publication approach and tools.
Present findings and proposed approach at internal meetings.
Ensure findings and documentation are archived and transmitted to the larger organization.
