Job summary

SkillStorm is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers who are solid software developers ready to move into AI. You will undergo six weeks of paid AI engineering training and then deploy to government and enterprise clients, including Fortune 100 companies.

Earn $95,000–$120,000 in your first year, with full benefits and a path toward higher earnings as you gain credentials and deployments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one: Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/Node.js; framework experience is a plus.
• Experience building or consuming REST APIs and working with SQL databases.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy agentic AI applications inside the client’s cloud environment.
• Own delivery end-to-end from problem framing to deployment and handoff.
• Work with client engineers in their environment and tooling.
• Translate business needs into scoped specifications and architecture.
• Use AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery and develop AI-enabled capabilities.
• Set patterns and best practices for other engineers and document progress for clients.
