Job summary

Apex Systems in Chandler, AZ, is seeking a Data & Knowledge Architect to develop, govern, and enhance data foundations supporting AI and agentic capabilities. You will collaborate with product SMEs to ensure data and knowledge are organized for model consumption and governance is applied across metadata and contextual assets.

You will design scalable pipelines, enforce data quality, and implement controls to improve data freshness and reliability at the source.

Qualifications

• Experience engineering and managing structured and unstructured data for analytics or model-enabled solutions.
• Background in regulated enterprise environments.
• Ability to define ownership, lineage, freshness, stewardship, and governance expectations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data and knowledge assets for AI and agentic use-cases across sources.
• Define standards for organization and preparation of documentation, telemetry, and metadata.
• Collaborate with SMEs to capture domain knowledge for model grounding and decision quality.
• Design scalable storage, governance, indexing, and retrieval of context assets.
• Improve data quality controls and metadata quality; address issues at the source.
• Contribute to data quality remediation and remediation priorities across domains.
• Build pipelines, transformations, validation routines, and context-management services.
• Produce reusable templates and guidance for knowledge artifacts and documentation standards.
