Job description

About LockedIn AI

LockedIn AI is the #1 real-time AI interview and meeting copilot, trusted by over one million users worldwide. We are a fast-growing company building the most advanced career preparation platform on the market.

Our platform delivers real-time, AI-powered assistance during live job interviews, coding assessments, and professional meetings — helping candidates communicate with clarity, confidence, and competence.

Role Overview

We are looking for a strategic, user-obsessed AI Product Manager to own the vision, roadmap, and execution of AI-powered features and products at LockedIn AI. This is a high-ownership role — you will define what we build, why we build it, and how we measure success.

You will bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI capabilities and real user needs, turning complex technology into intuitive product experiences for over 1 million users. Your scope spans the full product lifecycle — from identifying opportunities and defining requirements, to working with engineering and data science teams to ship AI features, to analyzing post-launch performance and iterating based on real-world data.

The ideal AI Product Manager understands both the possibilities and limitations of AI. You know when a problem calls for an LLM, when it calls for a simpler rule-based approach, and when the best solution is better UX, not more AI. You are data-driven, deeply empathetic to user needs, and relentless about shipping products that move the needle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and own the product vision and strategy for LockedIn AI’s AI-powered features, ensuring alignment with company objectives, market opportunities, and user needs
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized product roadmap that balances short-term wins with long-term strategic bets — making tough tradeoffs between business value, user impact, and technical feasibility
  • Conduct ongoing market research, competitive analysis, and user research to identify opportunities where AI can create differentiated value for job seekers and professionals
  • Translate high-level business goals into clear, actionable product requirements and success metrics that engineering, data science, and design teams can execute against
AI Feature Development & Cross-Functional Execution
  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle for AI features — from discovery and ideation through design, development, testing, launch, and iteration
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, data science, and research teams to define AI feature specifications, ensuring requirements account for model capabilities, data dependencies, latency constraints, and edge cases
  • Work with design and UX teams to translate complex AI functionality into intuitive, trustworthy user experiences — managing the unique challenges of probabilistic, non-deterministic AI outputs
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution across engineering, design, QA, marketing, and operations to ship AI features on time and with high quality
User Research, Feedback & Experimentation
  • Drive a deep understanding of user needs, pain points, and behaviors through qualitative research (interviews, usability tests, support tickets) and quantitative analysis (product analytics, behavioral data)
  • Define and run experiments (A/B tests, feature rollouts, holdback tests) to validate hypotheses, measure feature impact, and make data-driven product decisions
  • Build and maintain feedback loops that capture user reactions to AI features — including satisfaction signals, error reports, and feature requests — and translate them into prioritized improvements
  • Champion a culture of continuous experimentation, ensuring every major AI feature has a clear measurement plan and success criteria before launch
AI Performance & Product Analytics
  • Define KPIs and success metrics for every AI feature — including model accuracy, response quality, latency, user engagement, retention, and business impact
  • Monitor AI product performance post-launch, identifying quality regressions, user experience issues, and opportunities for optimization
  • Collaborate with data and analytics teams to build dashboards and reporting that give clear visibility into how AI features are performing and where to invest next
  • Track and optimize AI cost efficiency — including token usage, model selection, and inference costs — balancing performance with sustainable unit economics
Stakeholder Communication & Go-to-Market
  • Serve as the primary product voice for AI features — communicating roadmap, priorities, tradeoffs, and results to co-founders, investors, marketing, and the broader team
  • Partner with marketing and growth teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new AI features, ensuring product positioning highlights differentiated value
  • Translate complex AI capabilities into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with users, stakeholders, and the market
  • Manage stakeholder expectations around AI capabilities and limitations — setting realistic timelines and communicating the iterative nature of AI product development
Responsible AI & User Trust
  • Ensure all AI features comply with LockedIn AI’s privacy-first design philosophy and user data protection standards
  • Champion responsible AI practices throughout the product lifecycle — proactively addressing bias, fairness, transparency, and safety in AI-driven features
  • Stay current on emerging AI regulations, ethical frameworks, and industry best practices relevant to AI-assisted career tools
  • Build user trust by ensuring AI features are transparent, explainable, and designed with appropriate safeguards and fallback mechanisms
Required Qualifications
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in product management, with at least 1+ years managing AI/ML-powered products or features in production environments
  • Demonstrated experience shipping AI features end-to-end — from problem definition and requirements gathering through launch and post-launch iteration
  • Hands-on experience defining product metrics, running A/B tests, and using data to drive product decisions in AI-driven or data-intensive products
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, data science, design, and business teams to deliver complex technical products
  • Startup or high-growth environment experience preferred — comfort working in ambiguity, moving fast, and owning multiple workstreams
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus but not required — we value demonstrated product sense and shipping track record over credentials.
Technical & Domain Skills
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts — including how LLMs, NLP models, and speech-to-text systems work, their capabilities, limitations, and failure modes
  • Experience writing product requirements that account for AI-specific considerations: model accuracy thresholds, confidence scoring, fallback behavior, latency budgets, and data dependencies
  • Proficiency with product analytics and experimentation tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Looker, or similar) and comfort working with SQL and data to answer product questions
  • Familiarity with AI evaluation concepts — including model quality metrics, hallucination detection, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
  • Working knowledge of agile development methodologies, product management tools (Jira, Linear, Notion), and design collaboration tools (Figma)
Strategic & Soft Skills
  • Product-first mindset: you start with the user problem and work backward to the technology, not the other way around
  • Strong written and verbal communication — you can write clear PRDs, present product strategy to leadership, and explain AI tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders
  • Decisive under ambiguity: you thrive in fast-moving environments where perfect information doesn’t exist and can make high-quality decisions with incomplete data
  • Collaborative leadership: you influence without authority, build trust across teams, and rally cross-functional groups around a shared product vision
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing real-time AI products, conversational AI, speech-to-text features, or latency-critical user experiences
  • Background in consumer-facing AI products with large user bases (100K+ users)
  • Experience with AI cost optimization, model routing decisions, and multi-provider LLM strategies
  • Familiarity with agentic AI workflows, AI copilot design patterns, or multi-model orchestration
  • Experience in the career tech, edtech, or SaaS B2C space
  • Published product thinking — blog posts, case studies, talks, or frameworks shared with the product community
  • Prior startup founding or early employee experience (Seed to Series A stage)
