Base pay range

$130,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr

At Magical, we empower organizations to automate the complex, manual workflows that are essential to their operations. We’re building a brand new product, and this is your chance to join as a founding engineer. In just a few months, we’ve already hit product-market fit and closed six-figure deals — with a clear path to much bigger contracts. We’re not starting from scratch either: our existing product has generated millions in revenue. Now, we’re evolving that user base toward our agentic future while consistently bringing in new customers.

You’ll work in a small, nimble team (4–5 engineers) tackling challenging, ambiguous problems at the cutting edge of technology — and learn something new every day. We believe the effort and raw hours you put in directly shapes the outcome. Speed matters, and we move with focus and intent.

Projects you might work on

• Multi-agent architecture - Build and refine how multiple agents collaborate to solve complex workflows
• Verification Platform - Make sure our agents do what they say they’re going to do, every time
• Process mining - Capture and translate user activity into high-quality, repeatable automations
• Desktop - Make agents work seamlessly on desktop with fast cloud VMs
• Voice - Let users talk to agents, using voice as both a trigger and a tool for completing tasks

About You

• Have 1 - 3 years of industry software engineering experience, preferably in TypeScript
• Have been coding outside of work for 5+ years — through side projects, open source, and more recently, AI
• Have strong software engineering skills and are eager to grow them
• Love challenging and ambiguous problems
• Thrive in a fast-paced, highly iterative environment
• Studied Computer Science (or related field) — or dropped out to build stuff
