Job summary

Kyivstar.Tech is seeking an AI Product Engineer to blend product thinking with technical AI expertise. You will design and deliver AI-powered MVPs end-to-end, including frontend, backend, APIs, and data, while prioritizing measurable business value.

You will gather requirements directly with stakeholders, translate them into technical specs, and drive production deployments with CI/CD, observability, and cost/performance optimization. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Full-stack development experience in Python/Node.js and React.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agent frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI or equivalent).
• Prompt design, RAG, and tool/function integration experience.
• Ability to elicit business requirements and translate them into technical specs.
• Experience delivering MVPs under tight timelines with strong ownership.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with API design (REST/GraphQL) and databases.

What you will do

• Gather and clarify business requirements directly with stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and define success metrics.
• Translate requirements into clear technical specifications, user stories, data models, and acceptance criteria.
• Design and drive AI agents through prompting, tool/function calling, orchestration, and evaluation to accelerate prototyping and delivery.
• Build MVPs end-to-end, including frontend, backend, APIs, and data, and iterate quickly based on feedback.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain solutions in production, including CI/CD, observability, and cost/performance optimization.
• Own the full product lifecycle - from an initial idea to a shipped, reliable solution with measurable business value.

Qualifications and experience needed

• Proven full-stack development experience, e.g. Python/Node.js for backend and React or a similar frontend framework.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, OpenAI/Anthropic SDKs, or equivalent.
• Practical experience with prompt design, RAG, and tool/function integration.
• Ability to independently elicit business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Experience delivering MVPs under tight timelines with a strong ownership mindset.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with API design and integration (REST/GraphQL), as well as relational and/or vector databases.
• Strong English communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

A plus would be

• Experience with AI agent evaluation and observability tools, as well as guardrails.
• Knowledge of MLOps/LLMOps practices and prompt versioning.
• Familiarity with data privacy and security requirements, including GDPR and similar standards.
• Experience in telecom or large-enterprise product environments.
• Experience taking AI-powered products from an initial business idea through to a production-ready solution.

What you will do

• Work in a cross-functional team with analysts, developers & designers to deliver product features.
• Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for technical and business suitability.
• Working closely with the Product Manager, Development team, IT, external stakeholders, and end-users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
• Analyze requirements, and define use cases and functional requirements for the software.
• Creates and updates functional & technical descriptions of business processes related to supporting, configuration, and maintenance of the solution.
• Perform requirements management, prioritization, traceability, verification, and validation of the requirements.
• Backlog management and facilitation if needed.
• Oversees test implementation, gathers feedback from users, and proposes functional improvements.
• Selection and implementation of the necessary tools, technologies, and techniques.
