Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/DS/AI/ML/Cybersecurity or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity, data privacy, ML, AI/ML security, or related tech.
• Experience assessing privacy, data exposure, or disclosure risks in technical systems.
• Strong understanding of ML concepts, training, outputs, and data privacy risks.
• Knowledge of AI/ML privacy attack techniques (model leakage, membership inference, reconstruction).
• Experience conducting technical security/privacy/data risk assessments.
• Understanding federated learning and related privacy risks.
• Familiarity with AI RMF or similar guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assess privacy and disclosure risks associated with AI/ML models, training data, and federated learning environments
• Conduct model-leakage testing to identify potential exposure of sensitive data
• Perform membership-inference testing to evaluate information about training data
• Conduct federated-update reconstruction testing to evaluate disclosures
• Evaluate AI/ML systems for privacy vulnerabilities and potential disclosure risks
• Develop and execute technical test scenarios for evaluating model and data privacy risks
• Analyze testing results to determine likelihood, severity, and impact of risks
• Evaluate effectiveness of privacy-preserving controls and recommend mitigations
• Collaborate with ML engineers, data scientists, cybersecurity teams, and stakeholders
• Conduct follow-up testing to validate remediation and privacy risk mitigation measures
• Document testing methodologies, findings, risks, and mitigation actions
• Communicate technical privacy risks to stakeholders
• Maintain awareness of emerging AI privacy attacks and guidance
