Summary:
We are looking for a senior, onshore-based AI Architect/Practitioner to serve as a strategic technical advisor. This role goes beyond hands-on implementation — it's a advisory level position focused on helping to identify high-value AI use cases, make sound technology choices, stay current with the fast-evolving AI landscape, and continuously refine their AI roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and validate AI use cases aligned with business goals under the Propel initiative.
- Provide guidance on technology and platform choices (e.g., Azure AI, Microsoft Fabric, and related AI/ML tooling) to ensure decisions are scalable, cost-effective, and future-proof.
- Track emerging trends, tools, and best practices in AI/GenAI, and proactively brief leadership on relevant developments and their potential impact.
- Own and evolve AI roadmap, adjusting priorities as new opportunities, risks, or technologies emerge.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to client’s leadership, bridging business objectives with practical AI architecture and delivery considerations.
- Collaborate with delivery teams (architects, engineers, data scientists) to ensure AI initiatives are implemented in line with the recommended architecture and roadmap.
- Assess AI governance, risk, and responsible AI practices as they apply to our initiatives.
Mandatory skills:
- Typically 15+ years of overall experience with extensive 12+ years in enterprise architecture, with significant recent focus on AI/ML and GenAI technologies.
- Proven track record advising senior stakeholders on AI strategy and roadmap development.
- Strong hands-on and conceptual knowledge of AI platforms and tools, particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem (Azure AI, Microsoft Fabric, Copilot, etc.) — or equivalent cloud AI ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into viable AI use cases and technology solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical executives, in an onshore client-facing capacity.
- Experience building or advising on AI governance frameworks and responsible AI practices is a plus.
Nice to have Skills:
- Industry experience in insurance, financial services, or professional services.
- Familiarity with data platform modernization efforts (e.g., data lakehouse, semantic models) in parallel with AI initiatives.
