Job summary

Planet DDS is seeking a Software Engineer III to join our Irvine team. You will build production software at speed by leveraging AI development tools and guiding your team through planning, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.

You’ll work in a product pod, shaping how AI is adopted across the development lifecycle. You will mentor peers, contribute to technical direction, and help drive robust CI/CD pipelines while delivering high-quality features for a cloud-based dental software

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of software engineering experience shipping production systems.
• Strong fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, SOLID, testing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of end-to-end features from design to deployment.
• Architect maintainable, scalable solutions aligned with product direction.
• Utilize AI tools across the full SDLC for planning, coding, testing, and debugging.
• Mentor engineers on AI-assisted workflows and patterns.
• Contribute to technical direction within the pod and across engineering.
• Improve development processes, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with product and design to balance quality and speed.
