Job summary

Direct Supply is seeking a Software Engineer in Milwaukee to build and enhance scalable applications across web, mobile, and server platforms. You will apply AI capabilities and automation to deliver reliable, secure products that solve real business problems and create measurable value for customers and partners.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design APIs and microservices, integrate AI features, and ensure code quality through testing and security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of software engineering experience developing, testing, and maintaining applications.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript (Node.js/React), C#, and MVC frameworks to develop reliable, scalable software solutions.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into applications using open-source models or APIs, such as Hugging Face, OpenAI, or Anthropic.
• Experience designing and consuming APIs, working with databases, and developing applications using modern software engineering practices.
• Familiarity with Microsoft development tools, including Visual Studio or VS Code, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Ability to apply Agile development practices, Git version control, and testing approaches to deliver high-quality software.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze technical problems, learn emerging technologies, and collaborate across teams to implement practical solutions that meet business and customer needs.

Responsibilities
