Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of professional software development experience
• Working knowledge of Python programming and experience with REST APIs (FastAPI, Flask)
• Familiarity with Git and branching strategies
• Exposure to Agile development practices
• Prior experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Understanding of software testing and automation
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing scalable software and REST APIs for Acuity's digital ecosystem
• Contribute to solutions using Python (FastAPI, Flask, OOP, Typing, Async programming, Pydantic) and DevOps practices
• Support deployment and operation of containerized solutions using cloud native principles
• Help build and integrate AI features into software systems for automation and data intelligence
• Participate in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (DevOps Pipelines, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions)
• Collaborate in Agile environments, applying agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban
• Take part in code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions to ensure quality
• Support unit, integration, and performance tests using PyTest with TDD/BDD practices
• Help ensure security best practices through AuthN/AuthZ and container vulnerability scanning
• Work with product management, cloud architecture, and data science teams to deliver business outcomes
