Job summary

Sallie Mae is seeking a Manager, Product Development to own one or more digital lending products from vision through delivery. You’ll lead AI-enabled features, guide backlog, and align engineering, design, and compliance to deliver measurable value for students and families.

You will drive product discovery, define KPIs, and implement agile practices while building a high-performing, AI-forward team in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

5+ years in product management or development with proven ownership.
Experience owning a product vision, roadmap, and backlog.
Hands-on AI capabilities in product discovery, prototyping or analytics.

Responsibilities

Define product vision, strategy, and end-to-end roadmap.
Write user stories and acceptance criteria; refine backlog.
Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, compliance.
Drive agile ceremonies; ensure timely, value-driven delivery.
Set success metrics and KPIs; communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
Champion responsible AI adoption and data-informed decisions.
Lead cross-functional delivery and program coordination.
