Job summary

PAR Technology Corporation is seeking a senior builder to turn customer problems into working software. You’ll apply engineering, product thinking, and design judgment, using AI daily to discover, implement, and deliver across payments, consumer apps, platforms, and enterprise solutions.

You will lead a small team with a clear business outcome and set direction for what to build and why. You will own how your part gets built, write production code, and work in customer environments to deliver

Qualifications

• Proven track record shipping software used by real users.
• Fluent in at least one technical or product discipline; able to debug production code.
• Daily use of AI tools or coding agents in shipped work, with impact evidence.
• Regularly experiments with new AI capabilities and communicates outcomes.
• Strong product sense, design judgment, and data fluency to assess customer needs.
• Clear verification habits; explains trade-offs and involves experts when needed.
• Experience working in customer/partner environments, including forward deployment.
• Balance speed with maintainability, security, privacy, and compliance in production.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer problems, shape a solution, and build the smallest useful version to test hypotheses.
• Write and ship production code across interfaces, APIs, integrations, data, and agent workflows.
• Use AI agents throughout research, design, implementation, testing, and debugging; build reusable skills and context.
• Experiment with new models and capabilities; turn successful ones into product features.
• Judge where a product creates lasting value and select models, code, or tools accordingly.
• Own tests, observability, failure handling, and maintain security, privacy, and compliance in production.
• Work directly in customer and partner environments, including forward deployment and learning from them.
• Instrument what you ship, evaluate adoption and outcomes, and adapt directions as needed.
