Job summary

Vantora (formerly UP.Labs) seeks a Portfolio Operations Manager to drive practical AI adoption and governance across its portfolio. You will work directly with portfolio CEOs, Vantora leadership, and the venture community to identify high-impact AI tools and workflows, build scalable templates, and improve portfolio visibility.

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years in venture platform, startup operations, AI operations, BizOps, product operations, consulting, VC, or early-stage company-building
• AI-native and hands-on; built practical AI-enabled tools, workflows, or internal systems
• Comfortable with LLMs, AI productivity tools, automation platforms, no-code/low-code systems, data tools, and APIs
• Strong analytical ability to understand company performance, metrics, burn, runway, pipeline, growth levers
• Externally credible; capable of building trust with VCs, founders, operators, advisors
• Comfortable representing Vantora and its portfolio in investor, startup, industry settings
• Able to diagnose bottlenecks with CEOs and build systems, workflows, or relationships to solve issues
• Strong written communicator for updates, board materials, leadership summaries, and memos
• Willing to move between hands-on AI work, CEO support, governance, reporting, and events
• Interest in enterprise software, industrial markets, and complex B2B verticals
• High tolerance for ambiguity; enjoys building playbooks not inheriting ones

Responsibilities

• Partner with portfolio CEOs to understand priorities, constraints, and platform support needs
• Identify AI-use cases to drive growth, efficiency, or operating leverage across portfolio companies
• Build AI-enabled tools, workflows, prompts, agents, and playbooks for cross-portfolio use
• Support GTM, sales enablement, marketing, finance, product research, and internal operations with AI
• Create reusable templates and workflows to scale learnings across Vantora
• Track adoption and effectiveness of AI tools and refine where needed
• Monitor portfolio company health with dashboards and governance materials
• Prepare materials for leadership, boards, partners, and stakeholders
• Develop templates for board reporting, milestone tracking, and escalation processes
• Represent Vantora at investor, startup, and industry events and build external relationships
