Job summary

Apple is seeking a Principal Software Architect to define and lead the technical vision for its next-generation Finance Technology Platform. This role designs and builds a multi-tenant, AI-native platform that powers end-to-end financial processing with humans in the loop by policy, not by default.

You will influence architecture before code is written, own the standards for financial correctness, and collaborate with Finance leadership to deliver scalable, auditable solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with large-scale distributed transactional systems.
• Lead architect experience for a platform used by multiple teams; multi-tenancy and extensibility.
• Hands-on AI-native applications in production; agent runtimes, tool calls, validation, orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the technical vision for a multi-tenant Finance AI platform.
• Architect the platform, set engineering standards, and influence across divisions.
• Partner with Finance, Controllership, Tax, and Internal Audit to ensure correctness and auditability.
