Job summary
Visionist, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer (AI-Assisted Developer Tooling) on our largest PRIME contract. TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
You will design and implement AI-assisted IDE features and developer tooling, integrate agent-based systems to automate tasks, and collaborate with customers and teammates in Columbia, MD. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent
- 12 years of software development experience
- Hands-on with AI- or LLM-powered developer tools
- Ability to prototype and refine tooling
- Strong understanding of software development workflows
Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI-assisted IDE features and developer tooling capabilities
- Integrate agent-based systems to automate repetitive developer tasks
- Experiment with autonomous or semi-autonomous agents to enhance development workflows
- Integrate new tools into existing development platforms and CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with customers and teammates to gather feedback and iterate on solutions
- Measure and document the effectiveness of tooling improvements to inform future development
