Sidley Austin LLP is seeking an AI Platform Senior Lead to steer planning, development and governance of vended AI platforms across the firm. You will own the product strategy, manage vendor relationships, and collaborate with IT, legal stakeholders, and knowledge management to deliver measurable business outcomes.
The role requires experience in product management, agile methodologies, and familiarity with AI platforms.
The AI Platform Senior Lead is responsible for leading the planning, development and management of AI products and services within the firm. This role is focused on vended AI platforms, including general-purpose AI assistants, legal research tools, and specialized AI applications. This role involves overseeing the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing management of these platforms, ensuring they meet internal needs and deliver high value to the firm. This role blends expertise in artificial intelligence, product management, and application ownership to drive successful adoption and governance of AI tools. The Senior Lead will collaborate closely with internal teams, including legal stakeholders, engineering, IT, and knowledge management, to ensure AI solutions are well-integrated and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Required: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field A minimum of 3 years of experience in product management or product ownership Proficiency with agile methodologies and product management tools Demonstrated ability to own and administer technology platforms Familiarity with vendor evaluations Experience developing and delivering training or enablement material Preferred: Experience owning and administrating generative AI platforms

The target salary range for this role is: $148,200 - $211,150 if located in Illinois. Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate.
