Job summary

Visionist Inc. seeks an AI Platform Lead to head enterprise AI initiatives at our Columbia, MD headquarters.

You will steer multiple engineering teams, gather requirements from stakeholders, and drive adoption of autonomous, agentic workflows across mission domains on an enterprise LLM-powered platform. The role demands a strong technical voice, hands-on production experience, and a track record in leading security‑critical AI deployments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; 12+ years in software development desired.
Experience leading engineering teams and engaging with customers/end users.
Hands-on in production apps serving hundreds to thousands of users.
Experience designing agentic workflows and AI-powered apps.
Familiar with AI coding assistants such as Codex/ClaudeCode.

Responsibilities

Solicit requirements and architect an enterprise agentic platform.
Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and analysts to define workflows.
Evaluate AI models, deployment architectures, and infrastructure options.
Advise customers on AI investment strategies to maximize mission impact.
Lead and coordinate multiple engineering teams and track execution against objectives.
