Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Software Engineer (Platform Team) to design and operate secure, scalable AI platforms and proxy systems used by teams across the company. You will own the full lifecycle of platform development, onboard new models, expand compute resources, and build tools that accelerate engineers with reliable data stores and AI capabilities.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver platforms that connect AI to real tools and workflows, while optimizing logging, security, and efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other engineering discipline, OR 2+ years of production software experience.
• Experience developing production software systems (platform, backend, or full stack).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, scalable AI platforms and proxy systems used by teams across SpaceX.
• Own the full lifecycle of platform development including design, testing, deployment, and improvement.
• Drive adoption by communicating value and supporting engineers with shared prompts, skills, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver platforms that connect AI to real tools and workflows.
• Onboard new models, expand compute resources, and optimize proxy system efficiency for logging, control, and security.
• Develop tools that mitigate business risk, such as AI-powered code review and PR automation.
• Focus on lean, secure applied AI that turns engineering know-how into automation and reliable data stores.
