Job summary

Robotics Technologies LLC is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to stand up and scale the AI compute environment, including containerized and GPU-backed resources. You will automate safe rollouts, connect models to company data, manage vector stores, and enforce guardrails while enabling self-service across the organization.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands‑on platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps.
• Experience running AI or LLM platforms in production with retrieval systems grounded in data.
• Strong Python skills, including API integrations.
• Solid experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS or Azure).
• Understanding of cost/performance tradeoffs in AI models.
• Experience building metrics and exposing them via dashboards or APIs.
• Security-first mindset with least-privilege access.
• Ability to design self-service capabilities while enforcing guardrails.
• Comfort across infrastructure, automation, integration, and application code.

Responsibilities

• Stand up and maintain compute environments for AI workloads, including containerized and GPU-backed resources.
• Automate safe rollouts and build pipelines with rollback capabilities.
• Build retrieval systems grounding model outputs in real company data.
• Maintain vector stores and data sources used by retrieval.
• Route and gate model access to ensure appropriate model usage.
• Redact sensitive data from prompts before model processing.
• Build guardrails to prevent harmful or biased outputs.
• Enable self-service access with appropriate permissions and controls.
• Monitor system health, response times, and error rates.
• Track usage and spend by model and feature levels.
• Apply cost discipline across AI spend.
• Build self-service tools and APIs for teams to ship AI features.
• Report on AI performance and costs via dashboards or APIs.
