Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a Platform Engineering Intern to work with the SpectrumGPT team over an 11‑week program. You’ll split time between your department projects and intern cohort activities, gaining hands‑on experience with AI tooling and cloud platforms, plus mentorship and professional development.

You will contribute to buildout of self‑service infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP, and participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to support production readiness.

Qualifications

• Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor’s degree
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
• Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

Responsibilities

• The SpectrumGPT Platform Engineering Intern supports the platform team in building and operating the self‑service infrastructure that enables teams across Charter to develop and deploy AI agent systems.
• Develop and maintain Terraform modules that enable teams to provision AI infrastructure on the SpectrumGPT EKS cluster through self‑service workflows.
• Build and extend CI/CD pipeline components in GitLab CI to automate build, test, and deployment of AI agent services across the platform.
• Develop Python code for internal tooling to configure, manage, and monitor deployed AI systems.
