Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Software Engineer II for AI Research to design and ship production AI at scale. You will build Python-first platforms and GenAI apps, turning research into secure, scalable products while automating across cloud with CI/CD and IaC.

In this role, you will collaborate with AIR and MLCoE to shape how AI is built and deployed firm-wide, delivering trusted technology across multiple business functions and ensuring operational stability and security.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform.
• Hands-on development, testing, and production readiness of software.
• Advanced Python proficiency and code quality practices.
• CI/CD methods and automated testing experience.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Model Development Life Cycle.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and architectural frameworks.
• Experience using enterprise AI-assisted development tools and secure coding.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for AI/ML platforms and GenAI-based apps in Python.
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot scalable software solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists and researchers to productionize experiments.
• Automate across cloud environments using CI/CD and IaC tooling.
• Contribute to code quality through reviews, testing, and secure practices.
• Apply responsible AI principles and secure data handling in development.
