Job summary

Instalily, Inc. in New York is seeking a Software Engineer to develop InstaLILY’s AI platform and drive technical excellence. You will collaborate with product, UI/UX, business development, and growth teams to design and implement new features.

You will work with the Growth team during deployments, ensure high quality through testing and CI/CD, and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders. The role starts in-office in NY/SF with a gradual move to hybrid work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, math, physics, or related.
• 0–1 years as a software engineer with shipped product.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or a similar backend language.
• AI experience: built with LLMs (RAG, agents, fine-tuned models, or integration).
• Strong communication to explain technical work to non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• In-office availability: 5 days/week in NY or SF for 6 months, then 4 days in person with 1 day remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop InstaLILY’s AI platform and drive technical excellence throughout the organization
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and capabilities
• Partner with Growth team during customer deployments: understand workflows and iterate on feedback
• Raise quality and reliability through testing and CI/CD practices
• Build rapport with Lead Software Engineer and Head of Product while fostering continuous learning
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver high-quality products meeting customer needs
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AI and software engineering trends and technologies
