Job summary

EY is seeking an AI Systems Engineer to own delivery, model-serving, routing, and observability for the AI-native platform. You will govern AI assets, manage costs, and handle observability across cloud and on‑prem environments.

The role sits at the intersection of DevOps, MLOps, FinOps, and observability. The ideal candidate combines building automated pipelines, high‑performance inference, and deep telemetry with compliance and multi-tenant cost attribution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years in DevOps, MLOps, platform, or observability engineering with production ownership of AI or high-throughput services.
• Hands-on DevOps experience with CI/CD/CV pipelines and GitOps tooling for automated build, test, release, rollback.
• Hands-on expertise with inference/model-serving frameworks on GPU infrastructure.
• Strong observability stack experience and OpenTelemetry familiarity.
• Experience with API gateways and request routing including streaming responses.
• Familiarity with cost management/FinOps tools and quota enforcement.
• Exposure to model/artifact registries and supply-chain scanning.

Responsibilities

• Own DevOps and delivery for AI workloads across CI/CD/CV pipelines and rollout.
• Own governance and discovery for AI assets and registries.
• Own resource and cost management with per‑tenant attribution.
• Own the full observability stack: metrics, logs, traces, dashboards.
• Own OpenTelemetry collection and multi-tenant routing.
• Automate GitOps delivery and embed quality and cost gates.
• Close loop between delivery and observability to guide deployments and rollbacks.
• Ensure cost and telemetry are attributable to workloads.
