Job summary

EY seeks an AI Systems Engineer to own delivery, model-serving, routing, and observability for the AI-native platform. You will work across CPU/GPU inference, governance, and cost-aware delivery in a hybrid cloud/edge environment.

You’ll own the CI/CD pipelines, model governance, telemetry, and cost attribution, collaborating with platform, data, and trust teams to ensure repeatable, auditable AI workloads at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in DevOps, MLOps, platform, or observability engineering with hands-on ownership of AI or high-throughput services.
• Strong hands-on DevOps experience, including CI/CD/CV pipelines and GitOps tooling.
• Hands-on expertise operating inference/model-serving frameworks on GPU infrastructure.
• Strong observability experience: metrics, logs, traces; OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with API gateways and request routing, including streaming.
• Experience with FinOps tooling and quota/rate-limit enforcement.
• Familiarity with registries and supply-chain scanning.
• Proven track record delivering AI/service infrastructure under compliance constraints.
• Ability to define clear ownership boundaries and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Supports DevOps and delivery for AI workloads: CI/CD/CV pipelines, automated build/test/verify/release/rollback for environments.
• Own governance and discovery for AI assets and registries; track metadata and licenses.
• Own resource and cost management including quotas and cost attribution per tenant.
• Own the full observability stack: metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and debugging tools.
• Own OpenTelemetry collection, including multi-tenant receivers and exporters.
• Automate GitOps-based delivery and verification with gates into pipelines.
• Close the loop between delivery and observability using telemetry and cost signals to drive decisions.
• Ensure consumption is per-tenant and financially bounded.
