Job summary

Brain Co. is building AI-native operating systems for large, regulated institutions. As an AI Platform Engineer, you will design and operate backend services and data pipelines powering AI products, collaborating with Product, ML, and Infrastructure teams to ship robust platforms.

You will own platform services from design through production, deliver highly available systems with clear APIs, and drive long-term platform health while partnering with internal teams to accelerate AI development.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience building and scaling production backend services or platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, TypeScript, or C++.
• Fundamentals of distributed systems, consistency and availability.
• Ability to transform ambiguous problems into production-ready designs.
• Experience building shared infrastructure for internal ML/product teams with clear APIs.
• Ownership mindset for services with uptime and observability from day one.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the platform backend services and data pipelines; own full lifecycle from architecture to maintenance.
• Develop systems to accelerate AI product development: experiment tracking, artifact management, and training pipelines.
• Create highly available, fault-tolerant systems with strong observability for enterprise and government clients.
• Design modular architectures, REST/gRPC APIs, and event-driven services with a platform mindset.
• Collaborate with Product, ML, Infrastructure, and customer-facing teams to remove bottlenecks and speed shipping.
