Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to provide advanced support in developing solutions within our applications architecture, collaborating with groups to design, document, test, and implement solutions.

Location: Minneapolis, MN (hybrid). The base pay range is $114,500 - $171,800 with eligibility for Mortenson's incentive plan. The role offers a range of benefits including medical, dental, 401k with match, PTO, life and disability insurance, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or computer science or equivalent combination of education, experience, and expertise.
• Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience developing software solutions in a team environment.
• Experience with common software development practices and tools, and awareness of industry trends.
• Experience with project management methodologies, providing estimates, status updates, and raising issues.
• Experience leading teams through complex technical problems.
• Experience developing with Oracle Forms, Oracle EBS R12 customization, and Oracle workflow development.
• Experience developing with Java, .NET, and other modern development languages.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Positive attitude and professional customer service skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux
• Expert level experience writing PL/SQL for Oracle EBS or other applications in Oracle or SQL.

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking an AI Platform Engineer that will be responsible for providing advanced support in all activities related to the development of solutions within our applications architecture; working with other groups to design, document, develop, test, and implement solutions within our applications portfolio.

Location: Minneapolis, MN (hybrid)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the definition, development, and documentation of software's business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications

• Collaborate with internal business partners and ITS colleagues to define detailed requirements and system interfaces, assessing value in vendor modifications versus custom modules

• Develop complex software programming applications and modify/maintain existing software with limited supervision

• Lead discussions with analysts, developers, and designers in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and customizations

• Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards to support procurement and development efforts

• Participate in creating proof of concept and needs assessment for business needs

• Provide technical expertise to team members and mentor junior team members

• Build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

• Perform all other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

The base pay range for this role is $114,500 - $171,800. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
