Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Spring, Texas seeks a Senior Principal AI & Machine Learning Engineer to lead design, development, and deployment of AI/ML applications. You will mentor a team, define best practices, and deliver scalable AI solutions aligned with business goals.

The role requires extensive Kubernetes, MLOps, cloud AI services, and strong Python with FastAPI/Flask experience. Onsite daily work is expected in Spring, TX, with collaboration across business teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years hands-on software engineering focused on AI/ML app development and deployment.
• Expertise in Kubernetes including orchestration, Helm, scaling, and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience with MLOps/AIOps tools and practices.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and their AI services.
• Strong Python programming, familiarity with FastAPI or Flask.
• CI/CD pipelines and GitOps, Docker, Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Leadership: mentor teams, drive delivery, manage priorities.
• Experience with GenAI frameworks and vector databases.
• Experience with observability tools for AI workloads and AI security basics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI applications, microservices, and APIs on Kubernetes.
• Build end-to-end AI pipelines with deployment, monitoring, versioning, and improvement.
• Lead and mentor AI/ML engineers, conduct code reviews, set best practices.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging AI tools and LLM tech to boost capabilities.
• Collaborate with analysts and architects to align AI work with business goals.
• Create technical docs, deployment runbooks and SOPs.
