Job summary

Docusign is seeking an AI Platform Lead in California to own the architecture of a scalable AI platform for production LLM-powered systems. You will design and operate gateway routing, agent orchestration, and GPU serving infrastructure, partnering with product teams to drive adoption. This is a hands-on, senior IC role reporting to the Sr.

Director of Cloud Services. You will prototype and write production code while shaping platform standards and secure deployment practices for company-wide AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of experience in Cloud, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineering with a Bachelor's degree or 8+ years with a Master's.
• Experience architecting and operating LLM-powered or agentic systems in production.
• Proven ability to replace manual ticket-driven operations with automated/self-service systems.
• Experience designing and operating an LLM gateway/model routing layer across multiple providers.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design, build, and integration of the AI/agentic platform with routing and provisioning capabilities.
• Architect and operate a multi-provider LLM gateway and routing layer for secure, cost-aware requests.
• Design orchestration layers and frameworks for autonomous agents and policy enforcement.
• Architect scalable model-serving and GPU infrastructure balancing latency, throughput, and cost.
• Automate provisioning and reduce manual ticket-driven tasks through self-service systems.
• Define golden paths for fine-tuning, models, and agents with canary/A/B/shadow rollouts.
• evangelize architecture patterns and reusable accelerators to speed team delivery.
• Partner with product/engineering to drive platform adoption and roadmap alignment.
• Implement Zero Trust security controls and observability for AI infra.
