Job summary

Dell Technologies’ Engineering Technologist Team in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Technical Staff-Storage Architect to lead AI-ready storage architectures for large-scale deployments. You will define architectures, drive storage solutions, and collaborate across engineering and customers to deliver scalable, high-performance data platforms.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in storage architecture, experience with scale-out file/object storage, AI workflows, and collaboration with partners.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of storage architecture, data platforms, or large-scale distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML workflows, data pipelines, training/inference patterns, data analytics.
• Strong ability to define storage configurations to meet production grade performance and SLA requirements.
• Excellent communication skills with cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
• Experience with industry vendors to influence next generation technology design.
• Willingness to travel 20–30%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical leader interfacing with enterprise customers to define architectures and translate requirements into comprehensive designs.
• Architect AI-optimized storage and data management solutions.
• Develop and propose configurations, BOMs, and SKUs with Engineering and partners.
• Lead investigations of new fabric technologies and storage platforms for large-scale AI deployments.
• Generate intellectual property and influence multi-year technology roadmaps.
