The City of Chandler City Manager's Office is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as anAI Officer. The position is scheduled to work Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Current City of Chandler employees may only hold one position and are not eligible for additional part-time or secondary positions within the City of Chandler.
The Strategic Initiatives Department operates within the Office of the City Manager and is responsible for deploying, conveying, and implementing certain projects, policies and programs that span the city departments and incorporate external partners. The department executes the federal and state policy agenda of the City of Chandler to serve the interests of the Chandler community, includes the city’s artificial intelligence governance initiatives, manages the city’s grant efforts, houses the city’s transportation policy and transit strategies including city-wide ADA coordination.

We are seeking someone to provide leadership and oversight for the City’s artificial intelligence initiatives, including strategy development, governance, and implementation. Promotes the responsible and effective use of AI technologies to improve organizational performance and service delivery.
This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.
