Job summary

Obsidian is seeking a Level 3 / Tier 3 network support engineer with interest in data science and AI-driven infrastructure. You will label, classify, and structure networking data from real production systems while handling final escalations.

The role blends on-call incident response with evolving ML data pipelines. You will interface with the client team and work 30-40 hours/week overlap PT business hours, as a 1099 contract.

Qualifications

• Must have L3/Tier 3 incident escalation experience.
• Hands-on enterprise networks experience across multiple sectors.
• Wireless proficiency with enterprise WLAN controllers and 802.1X.
• Ability to perform packet-level troubleshooting with common tools.
• Interest in how raw infra data becomes ML input.

Responsibilities

• Review real-world data from deployed networks: logs, configs, telemetry, event streams.
• Label and classify network behaviors, issues, anomalies, and incident patterns.
• Help define schemas for large-scale data pipelines for ML models.
