Job summary

Qualifications

• A portfolio of design work showing craft (typography, layout, color, motion, interaction states).
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and component frameworks to translate designs into code.
• Experience with design systems, tokens, and documenting components for reuse.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship UI for production applications from sketches to merged code.
• Extend the component library and the Storybook documentation to keep patterns reusable.
• Prototype in code to deliver clickable interfaces quickly for researchers.
• Collaborate with AI coding tools and improve team workflows for agents.
• Capture IBM Research's voice in interfaces while applying your own design aesthetic.
