Job summary

Remitly is hiring an AI Native Software Engineer II in Seattle, WA. You will direct AI agents to build products, orchestrate end-to-end solutions, and ship full applications. The role emphasizes fast delivery, robust software, and collaboration across teams.

You will work in a hybrid setup with on-site presence Tue–Thu, contribute to security and reliability, and shape product thinking through AI-driven automation. Competitive base pay and equity form part of total compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience using AI coding agents for end‑to‑end app development.
• Ability to craft effective prompts and iterate to achieve outcomes.
• Understanding of frontend, backend, data, and infrastructure for full‑stack apps.
• Familiarity with web APIs, databases, queues, and scalable architectures.
• Knowledge of common UI/UX patterns and product development concepts.
• Ability to interpret usage metrics and error rates.

Responsibilities

• Build complete applications, workflow automations, and basic agents within your team's product area using AI coding agents.
• Translate customer needs into buildable specifications and ship solutions from requirements through deployment.
• Instrument solutions to track usage and outcomes, iterating based on what you learn.

You leverage AI coding agents to replace manual tasks, build and ship entire applications and basic agents end-to-end. You're a full-stack product builder who thinks in terms of \"I need to solve this customer problem\" and orchestrates AI to get there. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
