Job summary

Insider One is seeking engineers to build AI-powered features using agents in a high-traffic production codebase used by 2,000+ brands across multiple channels. You will plan, implement, test, review and ship features with coding agents, while you set the intent and own the outcome.

You won’t just autocomplete; you’ll design prompts, guardrails, and tooling, own the output, and ensure security and reliability as part of a fast-moving, globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• Daily use of coding agents on real work.
• At least one project you can walk us through end to end with these tools.
• Agentic experience: tool and function calling, multi-step workflows, state, error recovery, human-in-the-loop.
• Context discipline: show how you set an agent up to succeed with standards and examples.
• Solid engineering fundamentals: clean code, testing, error handling, security, performance.
• The judgment to know when the agent is wrong.
• Willingness to share setup and configuration with the team.

Responsibilities

• Ship with agents. Claude Code first, plus Codex, Cursor, Copilot or others.
• Own the output by reviewing agent-written code and guarding against issues.
• Fix the context, not the prompt by keeping docs and architecture notes current.
• Build team-level tooling: prompts, sub-agents, MCP integrations, guardrails.
• Use agents across the full lifecycle: tests, logs, runbooks, and CI.
• Review AI-assisted work and turn recurring patterns into rules.
• Share setups and best practices with the team.
