Job summary

Right-Hand Cybersecurity is seeking a Product Engineer to own customer-facing features from discovery to production. You will design scalable architectures, build frontend and backend experiences, and drive AI-powered capabilities while ensuring security and quality.

You will collaborate with product, design, customers, and leadership to translate ambiguous problems into concrete plans, and you'll contribute to architecture and code reviews to elevate the engineering bar.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with customer-facing features.
• Independent delivery from idea to production with strong product sense.
• Fundamentals in system design, data modeling, API design, databases, testing, security, and performance.
• Experience across modern frontend and backend systems.
• Genuine care for usability, speed, and polish; able to understand customer and business context.
• Comfort with ambiguity and architectural decisions balancing delivery and maintainability.
• Strong written and verbal communication in a remote, collaborative environment.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools as part of daily workflow.

Responsibilities

• Own features from ideation through production, including discovery, prototyping, architecture, implementation, testing, release, and iteration.
• Collaborate with product, design, customers, and leadership to understand problems before choosing solutions.
• Turn loosely defined ideas into clear product and technical plans.
• Build polished customer-facing experiences across frontend and backend.
• Design reliable APIs, data models, services, integrations, and reusable foundations.
• Use AI development tools to accelerate research, prototyping, implementation, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Build AI-powered product capabilities using model APIs, agents, retrieval, structured outputs, and evaluation workflows.
• Verify AI-generated code for correctness, security, maintainability, and alignment with the existing system.
• Make thoughtful trade-offs across customer value, delivery speed, maintainability, security, performance, and cost.
• Monitor features after release, learn from production behavior and customer feedback, and improve them.
• Raise the engineering bar through pragmatic standards, code reviews, testing, and architectural guidance.
• Contribute outside rigid role boundaries when delivering the right customer outcome requires it.
