Read AI, Inc. seeks a skilled iOS/Android Software Engineer to lead mobile app development for AI-powered transcription and insights. You will build high-performance experiences across iOS and Android, delivering real-time AI-powered transcripts and summaries to users worldwide.

The role emphasizes fast, reliable mobile products, secure data handling, and offline capabilities, with collaboration across product, design, and ML teams to create novel UX patterns.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mobile software development experience.
• Experience shipping production iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) and/or Android (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose) apps.
• Strong knowledge of mobile architecture patterns and scalable UI.
• Experience with real-time audio capture/processing.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and event-driven backends.
• Interest in AI-powered mobile experiences and conversational UX.
• Strong product instincts and drive for improving real-world workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of features across iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin).
• Build real-time audio capture and processing across platforms with AVFoundation and Android audio.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and latency for real-time transcription.
• Design AI-powered mobile interactions, including chat-based experiences.
• Collaborate with product, design, and ML teams to prototype novel mobile UX patterns.
• Implement security, privacy, data handling, and offline support best practices.
