Job summary

Maximus is seeking a senior AI/ML engineer to design, train, and integrate AI/ML models for government systems in San Antonio, TX. On-site five days a week, require TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities include data prep, model monitoring, API/microservice integration, DevSecOps support, and RMF compliance.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years in ML, strong Python/SQL, and experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch; travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• A Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Must be able to report on-site in San Antonio, TX up to five days per week.
• 5 years of experience in the functional area.
• 3 years of experience designing, developing, training, and evaluating ML models with industry-standard frameworks.
• 3 years experience programming in Python, SQL, Java, or C++.
• 3 years experience with ML concepts, evaluation techniques, and feature engineering.
• Experience with testing and documenting systems to verify operability and compliance.
• 3 years testing web-based applications and participating in software development programs.
• Experience with relational databases, RESTful APIs, and system integrations.
• 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
• Experience structuring data for ML integrations.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, trains, evaluates, and integrates AI/ML models.
• Prepares data for ML pipelines and feature engineering.
• Implements model monitoring and reproducibility of AI artifacts.
• Integrates AI/ML into applications using APIs and microservices.
• Supports DevSecOps activities including CI/CD pipelines and secure deployment.
• Ensures compliance with DoD cybersecurity, RMF, and Responsible AI policies.
• Supports accreditation, testing, and evaluation activities.
• Collaborates with Government and contractor teams across environments.
• Participates in Agile PI planning with periodic travel.
