Job summary

Custom Manufacturing & Engineering, Inc. (CME) seeks a Computing Engineer/Software Developer to build cobot control integrations, AI/ML apps, and GUIs for advanced manufacturing. Work with UR cobots, NVIDIA Isaac Sim, and ROS2.

Lead ML model deployment and scalable data pipelines, interfacing internal ML platforms with ERP and security APIs. The role covers full-stack development, API design, and collaboration across engineering, manufacturing and management to deliver end-to-end automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Eng/Data Science or related field.
• 1–4 years of programming experience in Python, C++, R, or Java.
• Experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with data processing (Pandas, NumPy) and SQL/PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with MLOps (Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, cloud providers).
• Strong API design/development and testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop in-house software tools and interfaces for business and technical operations.
• Full-stack development for AI/ML applications and GUI deployment.
• Build and deploy ML models (LLMs, CNNs, GANs, ResNets) for computer vision and ERP use cases.
• Design and maintain robust API interfaces between ML platforms and enterprise software (ERP, security APIs).
• Create scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and sync data with ML models and external APIs.
• Develop cobot applications and multi‑robot workstations in simulation environments.
• Build scalable GUIs and dashboards for data pipelines and manufacturing insights.
• Optimize code for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing and management; support proposals.
