Job summary

SHI is seeking an experienced Software Engineer - AI/ML to design, implement, and maintain software solutions across a range of languages and technologies. The role emphasizes robust code, CI/CD support, and documentation, with hybrid reporting to Somerset, NJ or Austin, TX.

The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years in software development, strong Python/SQL/JavaScript skills, and hands-on cloud experience in AWS or Azure. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with Python, SQL, JavaScript.
• 5+ years of experience debugging live site problems and building automation for high-scale service.
• 5+ years of experience developing applications in Azure or AWS.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Advanced AWS or Azure Certification preferred.
• Ability to travel 10%.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain software solutions using diverse programming languages and technologies.
• Design, develop, and implement new software features or modifications to existing software based on functional requirements.
• Identify and address complex technical issues efficiently through problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Maintain high-quality code through reviews, testing, and debugging; support CI/CD processes.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for knowledge sharing.
