Job summary

Aberystwyth University seeks a highly motivated Postgraduate Research Associate on a fixed-term, part-time basis (18.25 hours/week) for a Wales-based project on cultivated meat research, using AI/ML to accelerate discovery. The role is desk-based, focusing on literature reviews and an Innovation Plan in collaboration with computer science and biotech partners.

Qualifications

• Masters or postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject area.
• Experience with AI-ML models and literature synthesis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and with external partners.

Responsibilities

• Complete a literature review of AI-ML for cultivated meat.
• Support development of a professional network with industry collaborators and academic experts.
• Partake in site visits to external companies or academic institutes to assess technologies and data requirements.
