HP IQ's AI Machine Learning team is shaping the foundational platform for agentic devices, spanning model creation, inference optimization, and orchestration. This internship offers exposure to end-to-end AI systems, collaboration with senior engineers, and hands-on work on real-world tasks that impact HP’s next-generation products.

You will contribute to core pillars like model inference optimization, orchestration, and fine-tuning, while learning to profile performance on device constraints

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Work on model hosting and inference optimization, profiling, benchmarking and accelerating model execution on resource-constrained devices.
• Experiment with quantization, distillation, or other optimization techniques to reduce latency and memory footprint.
• Contribute to orchestration frameworks and agent workflows, building systems that coordinate multiple models and agents.
• Participate in model customization and fine-tuning for target tasks, evaluating results and iterating on configurations.
• Collaborate with system software, design, and product teams to understand integration points and seek mentorship.
