Job summary
Bitwise is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and integrate solutions for the intelligence community and DoD. You will work with data scientists, software engineers, and systems engineers to deploy AI/ML technologies into production systems.
The role emphasizes containerization with Kubernetes and Docker, full-stack backend focus, and collaboration with distributed teams. Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a software engineer or equivalent education/experience
- Production-grade software development experience in Python and JVM languages
- Experience with service containerization and CI/CD using Kubernetes and Docker
- Familiarity with AI technologies and LLMs
- Proficiency with Git
- Strong test suites and coverage for internal software
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Experience with cybersecurity data analysis and SIGINT systems
- Experience with production CNO capabilities and distributed teams
Responsibilities
- Build upon Kubernetes and Docker experience to containerize and deploy services
- Develop new software solutions and support existing ones
- Leverage DevOps and CI/CD for reliable, automated deployments
- Apply AI/ML to solve complex technical problems
- Elicit requirements from stakeholders for AI/ML applicability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-grade software
- Maintain rigorous testing standards and coverage
