Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an AI ML Lead in Chicago to own end-to-end delivery of high-impact IPB AI/ML use cases, from framing business cases to deployed production services with observable client impact.

The role requires a Master’s in a quantitative field and 5+ years of applied AI/ML experience, strong Python and CI/CD skills, and hands-on experience with LLMs, Databricks, and Kubernetes in cloud-native deployments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field; 5+ years applied experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices.
• Fluent with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
• Hands-on experience building, evaluating, deploying ML models into production with LLMs.
• Experience with CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-native deployment patterns.
• Demonstrated ability delivering system design and operational stability for ML/data-intensive systems.

Responsibilities

• Owns end-to-end delivery of IPB AI/ML use cases from framing to production services.
• Leads engineering build of agentic AI and LLM-powered products across international markets.
• Sets engineering quality bar via code reviews, design, and pairing with peers/juniors.
• Establishes and operates Responsible AI controls to firm-wide standards.
• Acts as technical partner to IPB business stakeholders, surfacing AI/ML opportunities.
• Represents AIML team in governance forums, ensuring regulatory and data-privacy considerations.
