Job summary

Lam Research in California’s Bay Area is seeking a seasoned AI/ML/Automation Technical Program Manager to bridge business needs with technical execution across Global Operations. This role requires strong operations knowledge, hands-on platform fluency, and the ability to translate challenges into scalable AI outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of experience; or Master’s with 12+ years; or PhD with 8+ years.
• Experience in Operations domains - Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, Planning, Order Management, Spares Operations and adjacent functions.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional AI/ML/Automation programs from concept through deployment and handoff.
• Technical fluency in AI/ML/Automation concepts, including predictive modeling, optimization, workflow orchestration, LLM/RAG workflows, analytics, data pipelines, and Knowledge Graph platforms.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex topics clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous and fast-moving environments.
• Experience in semiconductor equipment or similar advanced manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support AI/ML/Automation strategy and governance, including live multi-year GOPs AI Roadmap and partner ecosystem.
• Drive end-to-end execution of AI/ML/Automation initiatives from discovery through value realization post deployment.
• Translate business challenges into clear technical requirements and resolve gaps quickly with tradeoffs.
• Partner with data engineers, data scientists, information security engineers, and platform teams to define data pipelines, integrations and security.
• Support transition from build to run with ownership, documentation, monitoring, eval metrics, training, and continuous improvement.
