Job summary

Davidson Technologies seeks an AI/ML Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO, to join a fast-paced program supporting MDA. You will develop AI/ML products feeding strategy, work with data teams, SMEs, and cross-functional groups to deliver AI-powered solutions.

The role requires delivering across conception to deployment, with strong communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a product delivery team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 6+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 3+ years.
• Active DoD Secret clearance at time of application; ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• Familiarity with AI/ML including deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and reinforcement learning.
• Experience with Large Language Models/Generative AI and Prompt Engineering.
• Familiarity with ML model evaluation, drift monitoring, bias testing, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an AI Engineer on multiple AI/ML projects and the development environment.
• Collaborate with data teams and SMEs; develop advanced optimization models for product enhancement.
• Train models and algorithms within a software product across a cross-functional team.
• Support full lifecycle of AI/ML projects from problem definition to deployment and monitoring.
• Design and implement AI/ML models using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of AI/ML models through testing and validation.
• Collaborate with software, security, and DevOps teams to deploy models to production.
• Monitor model performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Communicate AI concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Coordinate with teams using AI/ML products; define problems and success metrics.
