Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-scale Generative AI solutions. You will work with product managers, software engineers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to build AI-powered applications, including LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and automation workflows.

The candidate combines software engineering fundamentals with AI technologies to transform business problems into scalable AI products, deploying secure and observable systems across enterprise

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of experience in Software Engineering, ML, AI Engineering, or related fields preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, AI, or related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experienced developing production-grade applications.
• Experience building REST APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or similar.
• Experience with Agile and SDLC frameworks.
• Experience using GitHub and CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab, AzureDevOps, Jenkins, Harness, etc.).
• Experience containerizing applications using Docker.
• Experience deploying and managing workloads on Kubernetes platforms (GKE, AKS, EKS, OpenShift, etc.).
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver enterprise-scale Generative AI solutions.
• Hands-on development of AI-powered applications, including LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and workflows.
• Transform business problems into scalable AI systems and production ML capabilities.
• Ensure solutions are secure, reliable, and measurable in enterprise environments.
• Collaborate across product, software, data, and business teams throughout the lifecycle.
