Job summary

Capgemini in Houston is seeking a Junior AI-Native Consultant to join our Energy & Utilities team. You will apply AI/ML techniques to optimize operations and support digital transformation for clients. The role requires 15+ months of non-internship experience in AI/data science, with OFSC or Oil & Gas exposure preferred.

Client-facing skills and clear communication are essential. You’ll collaborate with senior staff, develop AI workflows, and contribute to demos, accelerators, and documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ months of non-internship data science/AI/ML experience.
• Experience in Energy & Utilities with OFSC, Oil & Gas, or Utilities knowledge.
• Foundational AI/ML/DL knowledge.
• Proficiency in Python and AI concepts.
• Experience with Generative AI (GPT, Claude, LLMs).
• MLOps, deployment and monitoring experience.
• LangChain and RAG concepts.
• REST APIs, JSON, authentication & integration patterns.
• Deployment tools (Azure DevOps, Docker, AWS ECS/EKS/Fargate) & CI/CD.
• SQL & NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior consultants to identify AI opportunities in Energy & Utilities.
• Design, develop and deploy AI/ML models including Generative and Predictive AI.
• Support data collection, cleaning and preprocessing for AI initiatives.
• Work with Azure, AWS, and GCP AI services.
• Utilize Databricks, PySpark and modern AI frameworks.
• Develop agentic AI workflows to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
• Participate in client workshops and present technical concepts clearly.
• Contribute to project documentation and client deliverables.
• Create reusable assets, demos and accelerators.
• Stay current with AI tech trends in Energy & Utilities.
