Job summary

Cogent is an Applied AI Lab building AI agents for cybersecurity. We are launching the world's first AI cyber taskforce, composed of AI agents capable of human-caliber reasoning for cybersecurity tasks.

We are seeking talented, ambitious AI/ML Engineers excited to build in the Applied AI space. As we scale, you will architect and deploy production-grade AI systems, collaborate with design customers, and contribute to Cogent’s Gen AI platform and engineering culture, while mentoring team members

Qualifications

• Multiple years of relevant experience developing and deploying AI-driven systems.
• Production-grade solutions with real-world impact.
• Experience building agentic autonomous systems and integration into apps.

Responsibilities

• Architect and launch AI Cyber Taskforce for vulnerability management automation.
• Design datasets and representations to support system development.
• Decompose enterprise workflows into autonomous sub-tasks.
• Experiment with long-term reasoning to evolve data flywheel.
• Build and extend Cogent’s Gen AI platform components.
• Train, evaluate, and stress-test ML systems for production.
• Mentor and grow junior engineers; contribute to engineering excellence.
